Hillary started her yoga journey in 2009 with a free 2 weeks pass to a hot yoga studio. In 2015 completed the 200 hour training with an additional 300 hours added in 2022. She is a mother, farmer and dedicated yoga, meditation and fitness teacher. Now offering boutique style classes in a Geodome on her family farm for a unique wellness experience.
Looking for a catered practice? Living with Arthritis, PTSD, Anxiety? OR wanting to strengthen your current practice. Private Sessions can aid in your journey.
Workplace wellness? A great opportunity to give back to your team through classes designed to their needs.
Farm Fitness:
20 minuets of weight lighting in the Geodome, followed with a 20-minuet hike with a weighted vest across our farm, and a stretch after. This class is will require sunlight for the walking portion and time may be adjusted. We will offer a different class in its place at 6:30am when needed.
Power Yoga:
Exactly what it sounds like, Power yoga will have a flow style warm up (breath guided movements) a strong core posture to create heat. Followed by powerful yoga poses that are strong and breathing exercises to find ease within the pose. Modifications can be made with Yoga Props and Chairs when needed.
Strong Yoga:
A blend of weight lifting and Yoga flow. Target different muscle groups lifting heavier for 2-4 sets and follow each set with a specific flow of breath and yoga to aid in strength and recovery. A great option for those who practice Yoga and want to add more resistance training OR those who lift weights and are curious about Yoga. Best of both worlds.
Bedtime Yoga:
Zzzzzzz A restorative Yoga class blended with Yoga Nidra. Restorative Yoga poses are longer held with lots of props, there is no stress to connective tissues, or muscles in restorative yoga. It's an opportunity for the physical body to unplug and recharge through relaxation. Last pose of class includes a guided mediation called Nidra which facilitates deep rest and a sleep like state. Participant is guided between awake and asleep.
Band Camp:
You always hear about bootcamp classes, a fun play on words! This class is all resistance bands, a strength training class using only resistance bands. Movements are Pilates inspired with resistance bands and balls. Resistance bands are a great option for anyone looking to build strength and can be more accessible for those with joint pain.
Gentle Flow:
Breath guided movements to create ease through gentle and modified poses. A modification for Sun Salutations will be taught in this class.
Vinyasa:
Class will take classic sun salutation A & B and build on it, a modified option of sun salutations will be taught in Gentle Flow and a beginner class will be offered once a month to break down the movements. Sun Salutations are a specific series of breath guided poses connecting mind and body.
Yin Yang Yoga:
This class will start with a yang style practice, movement and breath similar to a flow class to create heat and move into Yin, longer held poses to create coolness. Each Class will differ depending on the students and time of day. Class will meet students where they are at. For example, if its earlier morning and everyone is tired, we will start with yin and build up to heat in yang. If people are coming from work, or running around with lots of energy then we will start with heat and yang and regulate downward to yin.
Yin Yoga:
A series of longer held floor poses with guided breath to target the parasympathetic nervous system. This class stresses the connective tissues to release fascia and deliver hydration. Practice incorporates Traditional Chinese Medicine through targeting meridians through poses and breath. A deep release.
Chair Yoga:
A little bit of everything above in a chair to make Yoga more accessible to all. This class will be seated in the chair and standing using the chair. Class will incorporate resistance training within yoga using weights and bands to support strength for bones and joints. Students will be guided through a gentle flow with breath and a yin-like release with meditation.
